I was mostly curious on how you handle your dragons. Where you let them roam and how safe should one be? I know you should wash your hands each time you handle them but what about if you let them crawl on your clothing (since someone could touch their clothing and then their face and mouth)? I just don't want to walk around paranoid all the time that I could get myself or loved ones sick because I wasn't being safe enough.
Any help you can offer will be greatly appreciated.

Anywho. The salmonella issue.... From my knowledge, there has never been a documented case of salmonella from a bearded dragon. It is, however, possible to get the bacteria if you basically are filthy and lick your hands after touching the feces or something of that sort. As long as you keep your dragon nice and clean (scrubbing with a tooth-brush and hand soap) you should be just fine. I wouldn't be paranoid if you hold one, just wash your hands afterwards. I wouldn't worry about any ickyness on your clothing, either.
As for letting them roam, it's usually not a good idea to let them run around the house until they are about 12 inches. The smaller dragons tend to have a way of finding great hiding spots. I've never lost a dragon before, but I've come close. My adults are usually content to sit on the back of the couch for an hour or two.
